Faeries have always been around me. From the corner of my eye or flitting through streams of sunlight, they'd laughingly try and get my attention. Once I'd see them, I'd dance with them or chase them or just sit and watch them do their faerie magic. When it was time for them to go, they'd often disappear behind a plant or blossom or little critter or tree or butterfly.

For years I have tried to capture faeries through photograph, and like many others, I have failed. Years ago, I began drawing and painting them. It is the best I can do, for now...

Welcome to Solas Beatha (BYAH-ha), Scots Gaelic for Light of Life, a sanctuary created by me, a Hippee by day and a faerie by night 😉

For over twenty years, I’ve created under the name L.M. Christenson; author, artist, and maker of Colorado Hippee spa offerings. That name still lives in my books and stories.

But now, I return as simply Christy.

Solas Beatha now holds all I’ve created, and all I will create, under one roof. It’s a place where storytelling, healing, and seasonal soul connection come together. I’m steering this ship with joy, continuing to write, paint, and offer the soul-nourishing goods you’ve come to love.
