I'm L.M. (Lilly) Christenson, a fantasy writer, artist, photographer, and creator of the Beyond Trivar Legendarium.
My creative world is shaped by the landscapes that raised me: the forests and waters of the Pacific Northwest, the wild foothills of Colorado, and the enduring echoes of my Scottish Highland homeland.
Through stories, paintings, photography, and interconnected mythic worlds, I explore the threads that connect nature, memory, wonder, and belonging.
Solas Beatha, Scots Gaelic for Light of Life, is the creative hearth where these worlds gather. It is home to my novels, artwork, photography, mythology, and the stories still waiting to be told.
Within Solas Beatha, many tales are carried by Grandma Mae, the mythic grandmother and storykeeper of this world. She is not the creator of these stories, but their guide, welcoming readers and listeners to the fireside, keeping the old tales alive, and illuminating the hidden paths that weave through myth, memory, and imagination.

I am a mythic storyteller, artist, and photographer whose creative voice is shaped by ancestry, nature, history, and the old stories.
My imagination is deeply influenced by the Celtic Highlands, the Scottish Isles, the Norse sagas, and the landscapes that have shaped my life.
My mind works in constellations, weaving intuition, symbol, emotion, and logic into a single tapestry. I do not write in straight lines. I write in mythic spirals, where every story echoes another and every world intertwines with the next.
I am the author of Beyond Trivar, the first novel in my interconnected legendarium, and the creator of Solas Beatha, a mythic storytelling world where nature, ancestry, and imagination meet.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and live in Colorado, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and forests that echo the landscapes of my ancestral homelands. Seasons and these landscapes influence and inspire me.
